WHAT TO EXPECT

We would love you to feel really welcome and at home when you visit, so here is what you can expect if you do.

10:45am SUNDAY MORNINGS
AT HARRIS ACADEMY

Starting Sunday 18 January, our Sunday morning services will be at Harris Academy Sutton

This will be our new home for Sunday morning worship while we trust God for our future on Chiltern Road.

We’re really excited about this move and can’t wait to welcome you — whether it’s your first time or you’ve been with us for years.

Service Time

  • Sunday service starts at 10:45am

We recommend arriving from around 10:30am to grab a tea or coffee and have a catch-up.

Where to Go

Harris Academy Sutton

(Address details and a map link on our Find Us section or click here)

Please allow a little extra time if you’re not familiar with the new location — especially in the first few weeks.

Parking & Transport

At Harris Academy Sutton:

  • There are 30 bays allocated to Chiltern Church for our Sunday services (please follow the signs and steward instructions, other groups meet at Harris and we cannot use their parking bays. Our friendly team will help you to know where you can park).

  • Please do not park in restricted areas — local residents need access, and we want good neighbourly relationships.

  • If the onsite parking is full, there are street parking options nearby (please check signs and restrictions).

  • If possible, consider car-sharing, walking, or cycling to make it easier for everyone.

  • You are also welcome to park at Chiltern Church (7 min walk) which is located at the other end of Chiltern Road.

(thank you for your patience as we settle into Harris!)

What Happens on a Sunday Morning

  • You’ll be welcomed by friendly people of all ages and backgrounds — don’t worry about dressing up; come as you are.

  • We’ll begin with music led by a worship team (guitars, keys, drums), and you’re welcome to sing or just listen.

  • After a few songs and notices, there will be a short message — usually around 35 minutes, followed by prayer for anyone who wants it.

  • Our services finish at around 12:15pm, with time afterwards for more refreshments and connection.

Children & Youth

We love having families with us! While details like room locations will change slightly at Harris, here’s what to expect:

  • Creche (for under 3s): a small relaxed space with toys just to the side of the main hall, you won’t miss what’s going on.

  • Kids (Age 3 - Year 6): fun, safe programmes led by our volunteers. We’ll share directions each Sunday at the start of the service. Kids will go to their programme shortly after the notices; parents and guardians will need to register them with our kids team.

  • Youth (Year 7 - 10): a space for older kids to hang out and engage at their level. Youth will stay in the service for the singing and go to their programme during the talk.

Practical FAQs
Do I need to book or pay?

No — everything is free, and there’s no need to book. You will need to register your children when you arrive which we will help you with.

Can I step out if I need to?

Yes! There are toilets and the culture is relaxed. We want you to feel comfortable throughout.

Is it safe for my children?

Absolutely,  safeguarding is a priority and all our volunteers are trained to keep your kids safe.

A Few Things to Know for the Move

  • Our usual Sutton building won’t be hosting Sunday morning services while we’re at Harris, so please come to the new venue from 18 January onwards.

  • Signage and stewards will help you find parking, entrances, and children’s check-in.

  • Allow a little extra time in the first few weeks — we’re all learning the new flow together!
