ALLA LUNN

Children & Families Worker

Alla has been part of Chiltern Church since 2005, serving in a variety of voluntary roles before joining the staff team in 2010. In April 2020, she began her current role leading our term-time playgroups for children up to 4 years old (Tots & Toys) and working closely with the Children and Families Leader.

 

Originally from Ukraine, Alla travelled a lot during her childhood and picked up a few languages along the way - Russian, Ukrainian, French and a bit of Italian. Most of her adult life has been spent in the UK and she has over 10 years experience working within the play group setting. 

Alla is also an active member of the worship team, and serves on the Leadership Team at Chiltern. She is married to David and they have 2 children – Sophia and Tim, who are both in high school. She loves reading, dancing and listening to music (when there is a free moment!).

SUNITHA NAIR

Church Administrator

Sunitha joined Chiltern Church as an Administrator in October 2021. Born into a Hindu family in India, she heard about Jesus during her college days in India and sees her marriage as paving the way in nurturing and laying the strong foundation of the faith she now has. She and her husband have two children. 

Sunitha came to the UK in May 2005 and has carried out a variety of church duties ranging from organising tea & coffee, arranging and printing songs for the praise and worship team and being part of the Sunday school team.

As church administrator, Sunitha provides support and coordination to the mission and ministry of the church,  supporting the pastor and administrative management of the church facilities. She sees her role in Chiltern as a God given opportunity to utilise her experience and Christian faith to bless the church and thereby support the local community.

JASON HUMPHREYS

Senior Pastor

Jason moved to Chiltern Church in December 2016 with his wife Nikki and three boys to take up the role of Pastor.

 

Jason had previously been a Pastor at Connect Church in Cape Town since 2008 having studied theology to a Masters level with the Cape Town Baptist Seminary and Pretoria University.

 

Jason's move was inspired by a deep conviction in God's faithful plan for the church in the UK; to know the goodness and power of God and his Kingdom in our every day lives. 

 

Jason is equally happy in the garden and the kitchen, and happier still cooking outdoors. 

RYAN TODD

Youth & Worship Pastor

Ryan joined Chiltern Church as the Youth & Worship Pastor in 2018 moving to Sutton from South Africa, having studied Theology in Cape Town. He has spent over 10 years serving in various roles working with children, youth, and young adults. In his role at Chiltern, Ryan oversees the youth and worship ministries of the church. 

Ryan is married to Jess, who works as an Occupational Therapist for the NHS and is also very involved in the youth work here at the church, among other things. They have a son named Asher and a cat named Moses.

Ryan is a passionate Chelsea FC supporter and enjoys talking football. He loves ​​being outdoors and around people (or dogs).

NIKKI HUMPHREYS

Children & Families Leader

Nikki has been the Children & Families Leader at Chiltern since March 2020. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, she and Jason moved to the UK with their three boys in 2016.

Nikki studied Social Science at the University of Cape Town before changing tack into teaching. She has worked as a primary school and nursery teacher, and also worked with a team of Christian occupational therapists, working with disadvantaged nannies and the children they care for. In her role at Chiltern, Nikki oversees all the ministry to children and families, working with the amazing teams of volunteers in those areas. 

Nikki has a passion for sharing the love and truth of God with children and families, seeing people of all ages grow in their relationship with God and as they do so, become more and more their true selves.
