We are seeking a part-time Church Administrator who has a passion for the church and administration. We believe good administration has the ability to turn God-given vision into reality, facilitate good relationships and bless the work of the church.

As an integral part of the Chiltern Church Staff Team, your focus would be to: communicate with the church and the local community, provide administrative support to the Pastor, assist the Trustees and Leadership Team with core administrative tasks and give administrative oversight of the church facilities.

  • Salary - From £5k to £5.5K based on 9 working hours per week (c£21K -£23K full time equivalent) depending on qualifications and experience

  • Holidays – The equivalent of five weeks holiday a year – plus allowance for bank holidays.

  • Provision

    • We contribute 4% of the value of your salary to the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) as pension contribution.

    • You will be provided with a windows laptop and will have a desk in the staff team’s office area.

    • All relevant expenses reimbursed.

  • Flexibility – We offer significant flexibility regarding when the role is carried out during the working week and we also offer a degree of flexibility for working hours between term and school holiday working.

  • Development – We will support your personal development with reasonable allocations of time and cost to equip you to fulfil your role, support your devotional life and enable your ministry to develop. The current role has the potential to develop further depending on aspirations, abilities and the needs of the church.

  • Consistency – The role is offered on a permanent basis subject to completion of a probationary period. The areas that the role serves are well established in the church but are open for further development.
